General Pest Control
We offer general pest control on a monthly, bimonthly, quarterly,
and one-shot basis. Pests covered by a general pest control agreement
include spiders, oriental cockroaches, crickets, silverfish, etc.
Flying insects, birds, plant insects, bark scorpions, ticks, lice,
german roaches, termites, and other wood-destroying pests are not
covered as they require considerably more equipment and product
to handle.
Monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly service all begin with an initial power spray.
On this initial visit we will power-spray a residual pesticide barrier around
the perimeter of your property line, house, sheds, fences, patio, pool, accessible
eaves, and any other area requiring attention. The garage and inside of the home
will be treated with a low-odor spray; areas included are baseboards, under sinks,
closet areas, behind refrigerators, washers and dryers, and other accessible
areas. Baits, dusts, and granules may also be applied depending on the particular
pest problem you are experiencing. We can also use Termidor applications to
control ant problems.
Monthly and Bimonthly
After the initial powerspray, we will come and service your home either once
a month or once every other month, depending on if you wish to have monthly or
bimonthly service. We apply with a hand sprayer similar type sprays to the same
areas on the outside of your structure that we did on the initial visit. These
will rejuvenate and keep effective those barriers which were originally placed.
It is not necessary to spray the inside of the home every
month, as the materials are not subjected to the same environmental factors present
outside. Most of the pests that we encounter inside come from the outside, so
if a good job is done outside you should not see a problem indoors. Spraying
inside every month could also lead to resistance with some insect species. If you have any problems
between service visits, we will come and do a trouble-call for you at no charge.

Quarterly Service and One-Shot
Service
Quarterly service consists of power spraying your home once every
three months. You receive one free trouble call with this service;
after that they are charged at $25 each. One-shots consist of
power spraying your home only when you call and request it. This
service is not guaranteed, and with it you receive no free trouble
calls.

German Roaches
German cockroaches have plagued man for centuries. They multiply
incredibly fast and can carry many illnesses. There are effective
products though, from baits to residual sprays. To be effective
in achieving control, the home owner must be very prepared for
the service. Anything short of clean and ready will directly affect
the success of control.
Preparation for Roach Control
1. All cabinets and drawers must be emptied both in the kitchen
and bathrooms. LEAVE ALL DRAWERS AND DOORS OPEN.
2. Glasses, dishes, utensils, and open boxes of food
can be placed either in the refrigerator, oven, or in another
room and covered with a sheet or blanket.
3. If roaches have been seen in any furniture, be sure to empty
and leave drawers and doors open.
4. Plan on being away at least 4 hours. Take house
plants with you if you are concerned, as they will not be replaced.
Upon leaving, turn your air conditioner off and close all windows.
When you return, turn your air conditioner back on and open a few
windows, step outside for ten minutes and your home will be aired
out. If you have any gas water heaters, ovens, or furnaces inside,
pilot lights MUST be shut off.
5. These directions must be followed or control will
not be achieved, and you will continue to have roaches, and will
have to go through all this work again.
Bees
and Wasps
Many of our technicians carry bee suits and pesticides
which are used to kill bees and wasps. A nest must be present on
your property for us to help you. Often times a nest might be three
houses down and the insect is just collecting pollen or water,
in which case nothing can be done. The Africanized bee and many
local species of wasps can sting you. Most often it is best to
call in a professional to help in these situations.
Bark Scorpions
Bark scorpions are small, very poisonous, and excellent climbers.
Once in the home they are difficult to control as they may hide
in places which may be inappropriate to apply residual sprays.
With a combination of appropriate pest control measures and physical
exclusion by the home owner, control can be achieved.
Home-owners should make sure of the following:
1. All screens are tight and in good condition. (Attic screens,
window screens, garage vents, crawl space vents, etc.)
2. All weather stripping is tight, holes around pipes sealed (electrical,
gas, cable, plumbing, telephone, etc.)
3. Yard is free of debris (rock piles, wood piles, trash, etc.).
In the case of wood piles for fireplaces, they should be on pallets
where treatment will be effective.
4. Current insect populations (food sources) are at a minimum.
5. Outdoor lighting should be minimized using yellow bug lights.
6. Palm trees are skinned to a height of at least 6 feet.

Termite Inspections
In southern Nevada we have three local species of native termites
which are subterranean in nature, and occasionally we come across
dry wood termites. Only technicians that carry a termite license
can inspect for termites and must use a form obtained from the
Nevada State Department of Agriculture. In addition to the presence
of wood destroying pests we must also inspect for situations which
might be conducive to them. Many wood destroying pest inspections
are required for real estate transactions, as many lenders demand
them and most savvy buyers request them. If you have a situation

Termite Control
Southern Nevada has three native species of termites,

Weed Control
Within the last two years due to the water shortages in Southern
Nevada and the amount of xeriscape landscaping being popular, we
have gone into residential weed control. We apply a pre-emergent
herbicide in the desired areas. This will stop weed seeds from
germinating. We also apply a contract herbicide to any weeds which
are visible at the time. We guarantee the work for six months and
will apply touch-ups as needed. We do have a $100 minimum for this
work. We do not remove or mow weeds. For years we have done sterilization
work for airports, power plants, and other places which have no
plantings what so ever and desire no weeds. We feel confident that
